A few months ago, Chanda and I met Betty and Sherif and photographed their "Save-the-Date" session the day after the meeting. They are on the fast track when it comes to planning, and when we met with them last week for their engagement session, I wasn't surprised to learn that Betty already had her dress, and had already booked their honeymoon. Yep, they've got the wedding planning down pat, and they're definitely making it look easy! Anyway, it was just awesome to reconnect with Betty and Sherif after a few months, and we had a great time walking around downtown Los Angeles with them. As the sun went down, that's when the magic really happened. As a random aside, I have to say that Chanda and I watched Charlie and the Chocolate factory (the original) right before the session, as luck would have it, we came across a glass elevator. She later told me that she immediately thought of "Charlie and the great glass elevator," but in my head, I visualized an image and I was going to make it happen! You can see it as the first image in this post, and sure enough, it turned out to be my favorite frame in this set. When I first started photography, I experimented a lot with night photography, and it became my first love - photographically speaking. Heck, I even used light painting at night to propose. When the sun goes down, it really lets you push the envelope with light. Anyway, we're very excited to be photographing Betty and Sherif again when they get married in January 2013! Enjoy the photos!
