Portraits: NFL Network's GameDay Morning Crew

M&M:  Michael and Marshall

Football is officially back!  Is everyone excited?  I know I am ready to put the off-season behind me and get the ball rolling on the 2012 NFL season.  We kicked off the season on Wednesday with the Dallas Cowboys visiting the defending champion New York Giants, and had a full slate of games yesterday.  Of course there are 2 Monday night games tonight, and my Chargers will be up in Oakland getting their first win of the season. . .but I digress.

A few weeks ago, the NFL reached out to me about some new ideas they had for their GameDay Morning commercial segments.  The idea was to have a series of photos taken of their talent to air between segments.  Kind of an off-beat, personality-driven piece (these guys have tons of it!) of photos in a sequence - like watching a short video clip as a set of pictures.  After some discussion and masterful scheduling, we arranged a time between rehearsals to photograph Steve Mariucci, Rich Eisen, Warren Sapp, Kurt Warner, and Hall-of-Famers Michael Irvin and Marshall Faulk.  I watched these guys as a kid, and I have to say it was pretty cool to get to interact with them and have them in front of my camera.  I chose a few of my favorite individual frames from the many sequences you'll see on T.V. on the NFL Network.  Enjoy the photos, and the season!
