NFL Scouting Combine: Day 3

Check out photos from days 1 and 2, and even more photos on NFL.com

The snow melted and the sun came up at 5:30 am.  Still, it's cold here.
James Madison University offensive lineman Earl Watford warms up for the vertical jump.  (He later officially measured at 30 inches high)
Texas A&M University offensive lineman Luke Joeckel stretches.  You'll be hearing this name a lot.
University of Alabama offensive lineman Chance Warmack, considered by some experts to be the best overall prospect in the draft.
Arkansas-Pinebluff offensive lineman Terron Armstead - think he's having fun yet?  He recorded a 4.71 sec. 40-yard dash, weighin in 306 pounds.  That turned a few heads.
Arkansas-Pinebluff offensive lineman Terron Armstead, now performing the broad jump.
Going over proper technique before the 40 yard dash begins

University of Notre Dame tight end Tyler Eifert

University of South Carolina tight end Justice Cunningham

University of Stanford tight end Zach Ertz

University of Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o.  This press conference was a circus.  My only regret was not shooting wider and getting the media scrum.
Here's the media scrum for Te'o before he arrived.  It got crazier after that.  My main job was to transfer the pic, caption, and post to the wire as soon as possible.  After shooting a few frames, I grabbed the cards and was on my way.

Anyone ever seen a lottery ticket dispenser at a stadium?  Maybe I'll buy one tomorrow for my wife.  In fact I bet she won't let me return home without one.  Sometimes at the grocery store, I turn around and she's feeding money into these things like a kid in a candy store.

Lucas Oil Stadium has some pretty cool things on the wall.  I just wish they would update their photos.  Peyton Manning, Dwight Freeney, and Jeff Saturday are no longer on your team.  Get with the times, guys!
