NFL Up! Fitness

As we prepare for the 2013-14 NFL season tonight, I can't help but get excited for all the players who have worked hard over the summer in preparation for this season.  Now that the bright lights are about to be turned on, they get a chance to shine on the field.  Most people only see what happens on the field, but during the offseason, a lot of hard work goes into physical maintenance, improvement, and training.  With the launch of NFL Up, you can now get an inside look at the kinds of exercises some of the world's most elite athletes go through during the summer.  Be sure to vote for your favorite athletes to unlock their workout tips.  Looks like Antonio Cromartie has already defeated Dashon Goldson in voting this week, so you can view more videos of his workouts, and more images taken by yours truly =)

I have been posting one workout image per week on my Instagram account (johnnyvyphoto) every Wednesday (#workoutwednesday), so if you're interested in following more workout photos, be sure to follow me on Instagram!

Here is a peek into what a summer workout looks like for an NFL player.  Enjoy the photos, and be sure to visit NFL Up! to vote for the workouts you'd like to see.

Colin Kaepernick, QB, San Francisco 49ers -

Taylor Mays, S, Cincinnati Bengals -
That tube is filled with water.

Showing off maybe just a little bit!  I don't blame him one bit.

NaVorro Bowman, LB, San Francisco 49ers-
Work, work, work.

Antonio Cromartie, CB, New York Jets -

Probably the most overlooked part of any training program is nutrition.  Cromartie makes his weekly menu selections.

C.J. Spiller, RB, Buffalo Bills -

A little behind-the-scenes action.

Clay Matthews III, LB, Green Bay Packers -

The USC Trojan family that works out together, stays together.  Clay and Taylor share a high-five.

MMA Training with Jay Glazer

Brian Banks.  If you don't know this man's inspirational story, I suggest you read up, now.  Wishing him the best with whatever he ends up doing.
